COMMON Unveils New Fall Conference & Expo to Fill Needs of COMMON Community
New Three-Day Conference Maximizes Educational Opportunities for Attendees
March 16, 2010 - COMMON announced today a new educational conference
offering, the COMMON Fall Conference and Expo, which fills a void in the
community's needs. Though not as large as the COMMON Annual Meeting and
Exposition, this new three-day Power Systems educational and networking
event will be packed with 112 educational sessions on a large variety of
topics, including vendor-led sessions. As expected from all COMMON
conferences, attendees will have the opportunity to further enhance their
education through numerous networking events and meeting with leading
solution providers in the tabletop-style expo. The inaugural event will be
held in San Antonio, Texas from October 4 through October 6, 2010.
"We asked members and non-members to see what type of education would
benefit them the most in this economic state and what they are looking for
in a conference. Based on their responses, we have developed this Fall
Conference & Expo to meet those needs. It will offer great value to
attendees and benefit the overall Power Systems community," said Pete
Massiello, Chair of the Fall Conference Task Force.
The COMMON Fall Conference and Expo will be located at the Crowne Plaza
Riverwalk in San Antonio. The Crowne Plaza Riverwalk is offering
reasonably-priced rooms for conference attendees, complimentary internet in
all guest rooms, discounted parking, and complimentary 24 hour access to the
Business Center as well as the Fitness Center. The hotel is ideally located
along the Riverwalk within a wide range of dining, shopping, and
entertainment options.
Exhibitors and sponsors benefit from the many available opportunities to
sponsor, advertise, and exhibit at this inaugural event. Now they have the
opportunity to sponsor and present educational sessions on their own
products as part of the conference schedule. COMMON is expecting a great
response from the COMMON community, since San Antonio is a popular location
for attendees.
