Prior to V5R4 CHGOWN or CHGAUT did not have a directory subtree option.
If you are at V5R3 or earlier.....upgrade! Or you can use QSH and do
something like:
find /directory -exec chown newowner {} \;
This will change ownership recursively down the directory path.
For CHGAUT I tended to use stuff from IFSTOOLS. My propellor doesn't go
in the same direction as Unix weenies or similar aficionados.
CALL PGM(CHGAUTALL) PARM('/directory' 'USER(userid) DTAAUT(*RwX)
OBJAUT(*all)')
