Do you need our program CHKINZTAP to initialize a tape with the volume id
it currently has?
Wait until you move to power 7 hardware. The 3581 won't be making the
trip with you. I believe newer media libraries strongly encourage, if not
out and out require, you to use different volume id's on all your tapes
and to have a barcode label on the tape that usually is set to match the
volume id. With a suffix of tape type (L3 or L4). For example volume id
MON might have a barcode on it of MONL4 if it is LTO4 or MONL3 if it is
LTO3.
