Thatâs been my experience - presuming the drive is set to sequential and the save is set to the right slot.

Is it possible to using some command on AS400 load tape from given
Slot(cartrige) to internal Drive LTO2?
I.e. at first load from slot1 then backup on this tape, then unload

load tape from slot2 and backup again?

Umm .... presuming the save will fit on the one tape wouldn't
ENDOPT(*UNLOAD) unload the tape in slot1 and then a subsequent save
would use the tape in slot2?
