Replace existing disks with higher capacity disks. We have 280's, 140's
and 70's. Something tells me that if you're running out of HSL loops then
the number of disk arms are not an issue. You should have tried this
before you ran out of HSL loops. However if you are using multiple ASPs
then perhaps you can save off one asp and replace that (if the ASP is for
archive or something else that can be out of service). Otherwise, you'd
better plan on some downtime, good time to test your HA solution.

One reason I cringe when someone tries to fill up a system with 70GB or
other obsolete disks. It's just so much easier to do a disk swap when you
have loops available. I understand the price temptation. I just took
nineteen 70GB's out of a retired side car and put them into service, but I
have loops available.

Unload/reload perhaps? Gonna be a long weekend.
