The reason I asked about hard vs. soft is that they are handled
differently.
For hard links,

ls -i myfile will tell me the inode of myfile. <myinode>

Now I can do:
find /filesystemtop -x -inum myinode

Or ...

find /filesystemtop -x -inum $(ls -I /path/to/myfile | cut -d' ' -f1)

Dang it! I am convinced there is no correct setting for automatic case
adjustment in Outlook for one who works with computers! :( In the
command string above, everything should be lower case.
