This pertains to the mandatory conversion (re-encapsulation) of all *MODULEs, *PGMs and *SRVPGMs at V6R1 and above (for objects restored or carried forward from V5R4 and previous.)

Apparently, the programs in question were restored on V6R1 with FRCOBJCVN(*NO) or the QFRCCVNRST value was set to 0 or 1 prior to the RSTOBJ or RSTLIB. Or, the system was upgraded from V5R4 to V6R1, but no one submitted a STROBJCVN for all of those user libraries.

If you do a DSPPGM of those programs, you should see an indication telling you that a conversion is required... you may have to press Page Down (Roll Up) 3 or 4 times to see this.

Conversion required . . . . *YES or *NO

You can do one of the following to "fix" this:

*1.* issue STROBJCVN for the library containing these programs. That will convert any programs still requiring conversion in that library. (I would suggest you submit this command to run in batch.)

*2.* save the *PGM in question in a (temporary) save file (e.g. QTEMP/SAVF) and then restore it again, specifying FRCOBJCVN(*YES) on the RSTOBJ command. (You can do the same thing for *MODULEs and *SRVPGMs, too.)
