Having been the speaker at breakfast events, I can say that they are very
popular with many customers.
As an example, in New Zealand, I have done many breakfast meetings in
various cities. They begin at 7:30, the speaker goes for 60 - 90 minutes
or so and most are back at their desk by 9:30. The participants avoid the
worst traffic getting there and avoid the worst traffic leaving to go to
their offices. And companies do not object to a slightly later start to
the day.
Obviously there may be other issues with early meetings, but it does
provide a good alternative.

Re: [InterLUG] Morning vs Evening
Hi Rob:
Thank you very much for sharing. SEMIUG often discusses trying a switch
as well and the vote usually ends up those working during the day will not
be able to attend. I'll be sure to share the results with our group board
and ask for consideration.
Out of curiousity how many attendees did you have this morning?
Regards,
Laura

Had our local user group meeting this morning instead of our usual
evening
venue. Best attendance in a LONG time! Double normal attendance.
Hands
up survey said much of the draw was the topic, more of them were there
because the time was better.
Keep in mind, it's snowing like crazy, flights at local airport
cancelled,
all schools closed and the interstates are reporting more slide offs
than
the local talk radio cared to report.
Met at 7:30. Program started about 8. Was a rather short program. I
am
back at the office (with tea and whatnot ready) at 9:46 and it was
about
30 miles away.
If you have a struggling user group that meets in the evening you may
want
to consider this!
