The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

1 - NEVER open a pmr over the phone. Always use the internet.
2 - Either wait for the call back or call them but use the pmr you created
over the internet. Then you only have to talk to India long enough to
verify your phone number, name, etc.
The only time I have trouble is about the first of the year when our
maintenance contract is renewed and I keep getting the "dark side" -
otherwise known as "entitlement". Just love having to argue that your
maintenance is paid up when the check is cleared and you've got 8 skids of
new equipment you are trying to install! Now, I just give my BP the PMR
number and they get it cleared up fast. I'm starting to get into the
habit of calling on all my equipment on a monthly basis. Most of the
equipment is no problem as it's almost a rare day that goes by that I
don't open a pmr. But calling when it's convenient ensures that I don't
have to call my bp at home to get service. Ensures more free drinks at
the local user group meeting. (Don't forget to verify HMC's etc).
I've had dinners, drinks, tours of the IBM support building in Rochester
and have met many of these people face to face. Heck, I've been invited
to one of their weddings.
