If you have iSeries Navigator,

1. Bring up the Navigator interface
2. Select the system on which the changes are required
3. Expand 'File System'
4. Use 'Integrated File System' to locate the directory/file
5. Select the directory or file and left click and then select Permissions
6. You should get an IBM Permissions popup; select the Add button
7. From here follow the prompts to add the user or group
8. Check mark the appropriate boxes for the required permissions
9. Click OK or Apply and then OK.
10. Validate that the changes are working the way you want.
