First question, where would the virtual tape be stored to boot from? Let's
say you saved SYSTEMA to virtual tape on SYSTEMA. Now SYSTEMA has their
disks replaced. You no longer have the virtual tape.
Ok, so you got tricky and ftp'd the virtual tape off to your favorite PC
server. Now, how do you run DUPTAP on that PC server to make physical
media?
Don't believe that IBM currently allows you to boot/restore from NFS.

Sure, and if the thought of booting from virtual tape to do a fullsystem
restore sounds insurmountable then you can do a DUPTAP to physicalmedia.
Preferably before you need the restore. :-)long
