In other languages, the concept of the Singleton is well known.

What is the RPG equivalent of that? A stand-alone program? Or would it
need to be more like a single-function RPG Module in order to qualify as a
Singleton?

It's not critical that I get an definitive answer on this but it would be
interesting to hear other thoughts on it. The thought just occurred to me
while I was going through some java code.
