Well, I was able to get into DCM on the V6 box, but it looks different:
On our V4R5 box, I see sections on the left for "Certificate Authority,"
"System Certificates," and "User Certificates," and the System
Certificates section includes "Work with secure applications."
On the V6 box, I see sections for "Manage User Certificates," "Create
New Certificate Store," "Create a Certificate Authority," "Manage CRL
Locations," "Manage LDAP Location," and "Manage PKIX Request Location."
Once again, when I attempt to connect a Secured Telnet session, the
QTVTELNET job throws a CPDBC9C ("Pointer not valid") exception.
Sure, it could be that there aren't any certificates, but if that's the
case, why does sending my browser to the 2001 port immediately redirect
me to the 2005 port with SSL? And I could have sworn seeing some message
to the effect that my Operations Console connection was secured.
Also of interest: when I installed System i Access on my WinDoze box, I
only installed the bare minimum to get Operations Console to work, and
as a result, Navigator will connect, but the only thing I can do is open
a PC5250 session. Am I delving into things that can now only be reached
from Navigator modules I left uninstalled?
And how do I get SSL on PC5250? The help says something about doing it
from the Navigator connection properties, but I don't see it there, either.
