Hi Lorne,

My suggeston is to use quotes to preserve the whitespace... but, it looks like you've done that in your e-mail message (you have " before and after your string.) But, then, your call to STRQSH is also invalid CL syntax. So I'm thinking your e-mail may not accurately reflect your program code.

So... put double quotes around the variable contents. If you're already doing that, then post some actual code so we can examine what you might be doing wrong.

Good luck

Do anybody know how to specify a CL variable which contains white space when invoking a Qshell script from a CL program?

For example, &PATH contains the following, "/My directory/My file".

I want to do something like STRQSH CMD('/home/mydir/myscript.qsh' &PATH).

Thanks.
