Hi, Jerry:
Calling QP2TERM invokes the shell in PASE -- an AIX environment within
OS/400 or i5/OS. QShell is the OS/400 or i5/OS shell.
Two completely different (although similar) things.
I created an OS/400 command called "AIX" as a shortcut, instead of
having to type "CALL QP2TERM" ... here is the command definition source:
/*        CRTCMD     CMD(QGPL/AIX) +                       */
/*                   PGM(QSYS/QP2TERM) +                   */
/*                   VLDCKR(*NONE) +                       */
/*                   SRCFILE(*LIBL/QCMDSRC) +              */
/*                   SRCMBR(AIX) +                         */
/*                   AUT(*USE) +                           */
/*                   REPLACE(*YES) +                       */
/*                   ENBGUI(*YES)                          */

            CMD        PROMPT('Start AIX PASE Environment')
Hope that helps,

Is there any advantage to using QSH vs CALL QP2TERM.
