Good News Everybody!

A new search engine is coming soon.

As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

GPL allows free distribution of derivative works as long as the source
code of that derivative work is freely available. I don't know that the
source code for NetServer is freely available, but I don't know that it
isn't, either.

If you dig into it, you'll find that lots of the QSHELL utilities
started out as open source. You'll also find that IBM is a huge
contributor to hundreds of open source projects. JTOPEN is an example.

I recall talking to Dave Boutcher about NetServer some five or six
years ago at COMMON. As I recall, NetServer is a Samba port that he
and a group in Rochester did. At least it started that way.

Samba is licensed under the GPL. So i find it hard to imagine that
NetServer is a Samba port.
