Hi,

I'm trying to use the CPYENVVAR *YES on the SBMJOB command and it doesn't
seem to be working for me. We are at V5R3. Here is what I'm doing.

In my interactive job, I add an environment variable called JDETESTVAR
with level *JOB and I assign a value to it. I then submit a job that
calls a program which tries to retrieve the JDETESTVAR environment
variable. I have the CPYENVVAR parameter on SBMJOB set to *YES. Based on
the help, it should copy all of the environment variables from the current
job and make them available to the submitted job. I can see my variable
in the current job using the WRKENVVAR command. The program that tries to
retrieve the value doesn't find anything and says this variable doesn't
exist. This program has been working successfully in our production
environment for a number of years. It is using the "getenv" procedure to
retrieve the value.

Does anyone have any ideas why the variable wouldn't be there?
