Someone else recently had the same problem. I sent them a package with a
service program that checks for active jobs that can be called from a CL or
RPGLE. It can check on Job Name or Job Name, User or Job Name, User, Job
Number.

I can send it to you also if you want it. Just send me an e-mail.

Hello

I'm currently developing some little programs to perform our
morning checks automatically. I need to check DASD, jobs in systems, if some
subsystems are active or not, and check whether a couple of jobs are active
(applications jobs, part of an interface with another system i).

I managed to check all except those active jobs. Using my friend google I
found some APIs that might help me with this, like QUSLJOB and QUSRJOBI. The
problem is that those APIs need a qualified job name to run, and I don't
have all that info, only the job name and user.

Any ideas on how can I do this?

Warmest regards
