What is major difference between Townsend product and Crypto complete ?

Frank,--
I'm biased (check the email address), but the Townsend AES encryption
product is unparalleled in the IBM i space. Not only do we get
blazingly fast results (we've benchmarked the encryption of 10M credit
cards in under 7 seconds), but we are the only encryption solution for
the IBM i that is NIST (National Institute of Standards in Technology)
certified. We're starting to see an increase in calls for "certified"
encryption in places like PCI and the new High Tech Act of 2009, so I
would caution you against a solution that will have to either be
retroactively certified or replaced in time.

Subject: RE: V5R4 data encryption
We use Crypto Complete here and we are on V5R4 and we too are very
happy
ith their software. It works on the file field level of a file using
riggers.
t is relatively easy to install and setup, support from Linoma is
reat.
t is also reasonably priced compared to other solutions and any fines
ou could be imposed if a breach of your company's sensitive
information
ets compromised.
