support IOPs and thus twinax, but that V6R1 doesn't impose any limits.

Power 6 machines support IOPs and Twinax, but not in the CEC. You need
an expansion unit, which offers legacy PCI slots.

Power 7 will no longer support IOPs and thus Twinax.
