Here's the deal. We replaced our 270/2248 with a 520/7450 that a

No need to move a card from the 270. You have one 2793 in your 520 and,
you will find two ports on it.
The first one includes an internal modem, but is not able to run SDLC
communications (it runs only async ones).
The second one is able to support SDLC, X25, ASYNC but you have to
connect an external modem through a cable that comes with the server.
