Chuck, Thanks for the input. It seems to be some kind of authorization
issue. I logged on as two different users on the same machine; one can
see the SQL Perf Mon and the other does not see it in the treeview...

In my Navigator I do not see "SQL Performance Monitors" per

I can "create a new SQL perf mon" but I can not view it.
Any ideas?
What VRM [version, release, modification] of the OpsNav and
server are being used might be relevant. The monitor was created
using that OpNav client?
What does "can not view it" mean? Is there a particular diagram
[number & page] in the referenced Redbooks document, and perhaps a
particular line of text\graphic in that diagram that can be
described as missing?
Was security auditing turned on and the audit log information
reviewed for any /authority failure/ logged violations? I seem to
recall there was a defect whereby a super-user needs to be the first
to use the feature... Or that may have been for a different feature,
but the symptom of not seeing an expected as available function is
very likely to have origin as an authority issue.
Probably good to review the joblog of the server job for the
/create/ if the created monitor is not available to right-click and
analyze. There are some [mostly older] APARs and KB items for "SQL
Performance monitor" on www-01.ibm.com that may be relevant. For
example:
