Did you try to do an OVRPRTF on their printer file to change the type to
SCS. Then run their program to create an SCS spooled file.
You may lose some things such as font changes, barcodes etc. if they are
doing any of that stuff.
But you said you just needed the text

I don't need anything other than the text and the line numbers. In fact, it
seems that they've generated the report using a PRTF, and the PRTF is
defined as *AFPDS. No fancies to it really.
I _might_ be able to get them to recompile it as *SCS, but I'll continue
investigating QSP* API's in the meantime.

Hi Tom,
That's a nasty problem. You can use the QSP* APIs; then what? It's not
like RPG can do anything useful with a bitmapped logo or photo. Not
sure what the intent is, but RPG might not be the best tool to
deconstruct an AFP spooled file. Check out Brad Stone
