I think you missed my point.
It is just one more factor in the equation.
If Open I/O makes it easier to do (say) web stuff will all of the
laggards do it? No. But some will - and from talking to many many
RPGers I would say it is a significant number.
It is often not the programmers themselves but the managers who won't
shift.
Anything that improves the percentage of people who start to
transition their apps is a good thing in my opinion.
