CICS 400 question

We are currently a zVSE shop soon to migrate over to iseries.



We have the following scenario.



Currently we are running zVSE 4.1.2 and CICS TS 1.1.1



The CICS on zVSE is connected to an AIX Machine running CICS AIX thru APPC
connection/session defintions.



The applications running on zVSE and AIX communicate CICS to CICS via DPL
(Direct Program Link).



We would like to know if this AIX machine can be connected in a similar
manner (CICS to CICS) to an iseries (v545) box.



We guess this would imply an install of CICS 400 plus any other SNA or other
communications such as Enterprise Extender on the iseries

That would allow us to connect the two machines in the exact same way they
are currently connected.



The reason for this is that we are unable to make any changes to the
application running on the AIX machine.



Is this feasible ? Does anybody have any experience with CICS 400 to other
CICS connectivity and if yes how is it done.
