Once again. IMHO or maybe IMNSHO, your backup box should not be a whole
OS level above your production box. Plan the down time and bring them
both up. Your HA box isn't supposed to be your test machine. What would
the point be of "phasing" it in? I fail to see why that would be a good
idea...

Which brings up another point. What if your target machine was running
6.1, as part of the phase in, and your source machine was still running
5.4? Does one now say "well, this is as good as an excuse as any to go to
6.1."?
