Well....
I'm not sure what kinds of Blue Koolaid IBM is serving at their internal
meetings, but all the off record buzz here at the tech conf is very clear
in terms of pSeries continueing to take market share from iSeries and the
continued (and perhaps accelerating) decline of iSeries marketshare, the
incredibly thin iSeries development bench ("turn us sideways and you don't
see us"), etc.
There's also continued concern of the impact that the Oracle/Sun merger
will have in the 3-5 year time frame on IBM, specifically pSeries.
