Uh, the Blue, Green, and Gold lines are all trolley lines, running
3-truck articulated cars (Nippon Sharyo, Siemens, and Ansaldobreda),
more analogous to the MUNI J, K, L, M, N, and T lines in San Francisco.
The Red and Purple lines are somewhat analogous to BART, although
standard gauge rather than BART's broad gauge. And BART covers a much
broader area, and had been around over 20 years when the first segment
of the Red Line opened.
