The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Steve,
I would make sure that your current HMC is at the latest version of
HMC code. You didn't say what version of the HMC, what version of software
you are running on the HMC, what your IBM I machine is (and firmware level),
along with your new box coming in, but they are all power systems so it's
all the same code.

Subject: Can HMC control i and p?
Can my current HMC, which controls our i, be used to control the new pSeries
that we're about to install?
Any caveats, ifs, ands or buts? Things to watch out for?
Thanks,
Steve
