Try the "BINARY" command before the transfer. That may resolve
everything, possibly including the record length question.
Since both are EBCDIC systems (and both are code page 37), BINARY is
fine in that no translation even of EBCDIC to EBCDIC is required, so
BINARY should produce no translation problems, at least.
