Greenbar Overlay

Have any of you tried to create a greenbar overlay for reports?

Our email product has some included in their product, however when I try
and print them out, it either shows up very lightly or not at all on the
printout.

I am experimenting on printing to HP printers as well as a Dell color
printer.

I sometimes can email the report as PDF & this sometimes prints and at
other times does not.

I created an overlay myself, yet when it prints it is either shows up in
Zebra print (hiding the spoolfile detail) or does not show up.

What are some of your experiences with this and how did you get it to
work?
