I have no doubt of that - at a software level. That only makes good
software engineering sense. However, it would still need 128-bit hardware
to run on. Since 64-bit addressing is fine for other operating systems (at
least for the foreseeable future), an iSeries specific business case would
have to be found to develop the hardware necessary for 128-bit addressing.

I suppose my point is that the need for wider pointers is just one of the
disadvantages of single-level store.
