Subject: Anybody know a good, SIMPLE way for a program to find out what'sin a save file?

It's easy enough to send it to the screen, or to the printer, but I see
no "outfile" option for DSPSAVF, and no corresponding API. And of
course, programs can't look at terminal screens to see what's in the
save file.

The object here is to (1) refresh a group of related save files
programmatically, and (2) refresh timestamps in a database that indexes
that group.
