I think you have your 25/26 and 65/66 backwards. 25/26 enables the 66/66 so
do:

set it to manual
then scroll to 25 and hit enter
then scroll to 26 and hit enter
then scroll to 65 and hit enter
then scroll to 66 and hit enter

sometimes you need to reset the port, if memory serves me, disconnect the
console and then on the control panel

set it to manual

then scroll to 26 and hit enter

set it back to normal

then try to connect

may take a minute or so

search the forum, its been a while since I had to do it on 1 270 but I
believe it is listed out on this forum. You can do it on the control panel
right on the screen if its available. A reboot of the pc prior may also be
a
good idea. Another thought would be to see if any windows patches were
installed, I think there were a few that caused issues

Hi

I have a problem

My iSeries Operations Console which was running 'restarted' itself
voluntarily.

The console is now sitting at status 'Connecting Console/Connecting Remote
Control Panel' and will not progress further.

Any ideas on how I solve this problem would be most welcome.

Thanks in Advance

Best Regards

Iain Wilson
