I have an old HP LJ 4MP (once the company's primary laser printer) hooked up to my 3489's printer port.

Most of the time, printing comes out just fine. Or at least readable.

But occasionally I get some pretty strange results. Most recently, I did a DSPLIB FOO *PRINT, and sent the spool file to the printer, and it came out with the object, type, and attribute crammed together, and the size and description crammed together, i.e.,

DELTREE *PGM CLP 49152 DELete entire TREE

becomes

DELTREE*PGMCLP 49159DELete an entire TREE

Anybody know what could be wrong, and how to fix it?
