Hi Terry

No Idea. What I was thinking was if the machine was in manual mode then it
might have been just waiting for someone to put in a 1 to commence the IPL
or whatever.

It was something of a left-field guess. Not sure what would show on the log,
but I was trying to think of things that might interrupt a restart. I can't
recall a PWRDWNSYS RESTART(*YES) going wrong except when I did something
incorrect and manual mode has been the most common reason.

Regards
Evan Harris

Wasn't in manual mode was it ?

Well, I know of no reason for a manual IPL, but I shall look at QIPLSTS
when I next have access to the system.

Would a manual IPL record a CPF0903 in the system log?

Thanks,
Terry.
