They have been around the environment and an alternate source of support
for a long time. My only personal experience was years ago at a drugstore
chain where DecisionOne serviced the store level hardware support. We
found quickly that the techs didn't understand twinax connectivity and
would take a device out and drop others along the same line! That's, of
course, pretty much a dead issue these days...
Over the years, i've found that IBM hardware maintenance still shines far
and above anyone else... even after the raw deal that alot of really
experienced, skilled, and dedicated CEs were given 5 or 6 years ago.

Greetings,
I am tasked with evaluating a proposal for hardware maintenance for our
9405-520.
In the past we have always used IBM for maintenance.
Are there any pitfalls that we need to be aware of in regards to 3rd
party maintenance?
Does anyone have any experience with DecisionOne as a maintenance
provider that you would care to comment on?
