Suppose you took the effort to get this resolved. And they could no
longer use 'A'. Now they can use 'FUGJORGE'. What problem would this
solve? There are already numerous ways to get their IP address and
whatnot. STW or the archives for "QDCRDEVD". If I do a WRKJOB A I can
see things like
Job User Number Type -----Status---
A ROB 441979 INTER ACTIVE
A ROB 438248 INTER JOBLOG PENDING
A ROB 434015 INTER JOBLOG PENDING
A ROB 387788 INTER OUTQ
So I can see who traditionally logs in using 'A'. And if they kill their
spools and joblog I can find it using
DSPLOG JOB(A)
Job 387788/ROB/A started on 07/23/09 at 00:00:02

Yes it would be easier to determine if you really restricted the device
names - like SHIPPING1, SHIPPING2, ACCTBITHC1 and so forth. How would you
go about that? Easily - turn off autocreation and have them contact you
and you manually do a CRTDEVDSP.

Yes it would be nice if they added some of the capabilities of WRKSYSVAL
QPWD*. What happened when you submitted that DCR?
