Hi Alan,

We at Databorough (www.databorough.com) have a product called X-Resize
which
may be of interest to you.

Aside from the task of converting your selected database columns to
Unicode,
there are other important factors to take into consideration:

. Program variables, data structures, arrays etc. used to store
copies of the converted fields will require redefinition

. Certain RPGLE statements will require amendment to incorporate
the
%UCS2 BIF

. DDS for device files will also require alteration to support
the
Unicode-enabled fields

Manually undertaking such tasks can be both error-prone and
time-consuming.

X-Resize provides the means to perform these tasks automatically and,
importantly, in a controlled manner which is isolated from your
production
environment - so you can run and test the conversions safely and as often
as
you wish. X-Resize also provides powerful impact and problem analysis
tools
to assist you in the lifecycle of a conversion project.

If you would like further information, please contact me off-list.

Best wishes,

Richard Thomas
