Evan,

This array is a really basic disk array. It has some security, and is
connected to the network with it's own address. I don't see any functions
for FTP or NSF. It is set up like a windows share, so can be found if you
know the name or address. This may not work, due to the lack of
functionality of the array.

Hi Jim

Does the array or the controlling system have any NSF services available ?

All of the i5/OS to Windows file share services seem too flakey for this
kind of function to me.

Evan Harris

Thanks for the information Spencer, I double checked on all that you
mentioned, and it looks right to me.

Is creating a file in a subdirectory (which I can do using the CPY command
from i5/OS and the cp utlity from qshell) different than creating a new
subdirectory (which fails when using the MD command or mkdir qshell
utility)? I have all authority to the disk array.

Any other place to look for why I am getting a failure? The job log has
absolutely no help.
