The primary guidebook for UDFs is a Redbook entitled "Stored Procedures, Triggers and User Defined Function on DB2 Universal Database for iSeries" - you should be able to copy that and paste into Google and find it right away - include site:ibm.com in the search, after this string, and it'll narrow things down for you.
