I got one from Tech Data but that sucker was expensive and it was the cheapest I could find. Looking at my order history it was:

Adaptec - Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) external cable - 4-Lane - 26 pin 4x Shielded Mini MultiLane SAS (SFF-8088) - 26 pin 4x Shielded Mini MultiLane SAS (SFF-8088) - 3.3 ft

Ran me about $85 for something just over 3 feet long. But, it works!

I have a TS2240 tape drive to attach to my BC-S - but I dont have the needed
mini SAS cable.

The cable I need, will it be any mini SAS to mini SAS cable? like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-SAS-36-Pin-To-Mini-SAS-36-Pin-Latching-Cable-2ft_W0QQitemZ170344158984QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCA_Cables_Adapters?hash=item27a94d9708&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

The tape drive came with a wrap plug for the SAS port and its male end is
about an inch deep. The connector on the cable I see on ebay looks shorter
than the one I need.

thanks,
