I rarely print directly to a printer (with paper) any more, I have been
printing to PDFCreator, using it as the designated print driver for my
IBM i print sessions (System i Access printer session). The printer is
defined as a 3812 and this works very well. However, I went to print a
document that has bar codes this afternoon and I got a message (CPA3388)
that says:
Message . . . . : Attributes of file OREQ520 not supported for device
PRTPETE. (C G T H I)
Which mentioned error code 2:
2 - Device type of file not supported on device.
I thought bar codes would print on a laser printer but perhaps there is
more to it than that? Am I missing something in my printer definition?
Should I configure the printer session as something else?
