2009/5/28 James H. H. Lampert <jamesl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>:
Is there an easy way (from CL, RPG, or C) to retrieve a file's record
format level (as in RPG refusing to open files because of level check
errors)

James

I have a utility that searches for checks for level checks - CHKLVLCHK
- a lot of thought went into that name ;) The idea is that finds them
before your program gets a chance to run. Details & source code
download at http://www.dbg400.net/foswiki/bin/view/DBG400/ChkLvlChk It
uses the DSPFD technique that Mark suggested earlier in this thread.
