Yeah, and if you have a overvoltage condition on the wall power, the
UPS will handle it gracefully, but it will fry the power supply and
the system board on the critical machine. But the UPS will still run
;)

Doing this isn't a bad idea, especially at smaller shops i do the
same, but it's a risk that should be considered.
