Jon, if the customer has Microsoft Office installed, there is another
utility they can try: MsQry32.exe interface (Microsoft Query utility). You
can find it in the Microsoft "Office**" folder path on your PC (i.e. in my
case C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\MsQry32.exe). You'll first
have to define an ODBC data source for this type of test, since MsQry32 uses
ODBC to connect to the database. ODBC Administrator can be found in the
Control Panel.
I often use this to eliminate DB2 for i as the culprit behind Microsoft
Office issues.

Have you tried the data perspective? Should be available in WDSC7
standard. It's not available in RDi, only in RDi-SOA.

I thought it would be there Joe, but I must have done a selective load on
this
particular install as although I can get the Database Explorer view up, I
can't do anything with it - and there's no Data perspective or projects or
...
