I think a site like this is quite biased toward a specific platform,
It does, but only because it was started by people w/knowledge of .net
and the ms world. Joel and Jeff have been quite clear that they want it
to be open to all languages and platforms. More and more PHP and Phyton
is showing up (for example). I agree people will start on Google, but
don't let the current ms-bent turn you off to the site, it's quite nice.
And there's a serverfault.com sister site for server admin.
