Some vendors ship out versions of their product that are supposed to span
numerous releases. They may have to do things differently based on the
release or perhaps other considerations. The code may look something like
this
If release>'...';
call newVersion;
Else;
call oldVersion;
Endif;

You should contact the vendor directly and verify that this is exactly
what is happening. Yes, I would prefer a spotless ANZOBJCVN report
myself.
