We installed a 3581-L38 (8 tape cartridge autoloader) tape drive today using
the Random mode with a barcode reader in it. It seems to work great. We
are using LXI Tape for the backup, and it uses the media library. If we
initialize with *REWIND it works great, when we initialize the tape with
*UNLOAD, the tape unloads but we get an attention light on the tape, and the
! (Exclamation mark) in the front bezel for this tape.


We are at V5R4M5 with latest PTFs, has anyone else seen this
and found a work around.
