You are looking for what is called a cartesian join or cross product, I believe - every possible combination of values from both tables

select * from file1 cross join file2

Okay, I'm stumped and google wasn't my friend this time.

Simplified, what I want to do is this. Merge File1 with File2 to produce File3.

File1 has 1 field, alpha1, and looks like this:
Alpha1
------
A
B
C
D

File2 has 1 field, number1, and looks like this:
Number1
-------
1
2
3

After merging, File3 should contain:
Alpha1 Number1
------ -------
A 1
A 2
A 3
B 1
B 2
B 3
C 1
C 2
C 3
D 1
D 2
D 3

I have a hazy memory of doing something like this before but I can't seem to be able to pull it out from the back of my brain. HELP!

Thanks,
